Frequently asked questions
No. Each client gets a link and a password you set, so nobody signs up and nobody buys a ClickUp guest seat. A portal opens in English, French, or Spanish, and it can live on your own domain.
Follow live progress and deliverables, send you a request with files attached, message your team, open the documents you shared, and use the links you pinned. Requests become ClickUp tasks and messages become ClickUp comments, so nothing is stranded in a separate inbox.
If you want them to. Time cards show the hours logged this period, by week and by team member. Package cards burn down a retainer, whether it is unlimited, capped, or a block of hours. Budget figures come from your own ClickUp number, currency, and formula fields. Every one of these cards is optional, portal by portal.
Every card is a switch, set per portal. You choose which statuses count as done, which tasks are visible, and which figures to show. Add your logo, colors, and font on any plan. On Agency, remove the Glance branding entirely and serve the portal from your own domain.
ClickUp is the project source: tasks, statuses, comments, and custom fields. Everhour is an alternative source for tracked time. Google Drive backs the file exchange, so anything a client uploads lands in your own folder. An API key lets you create and configure portals from your own tooling.
No. The portal is always current, and it can reach out on its own with a daily or weekly email digest per portal. On Pro and above, an AI summary sits at the top of the dashboard and explains the situation in plain language.
Your ClickUp token is encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and portal passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Glance reads your project data and only ever writes what a client deliberately sends: a request, a message, or an attachment. Every portal, document, and message is scoped to your organization.
The trial runs 14 days on Pro and needs no credit card. Connect ClickUp, pick a list or folder, and the first portal is live in about a minute. Pick a plan before day 14; nothing is charged until you do.
Book a 20-minute call and we set Glance up with you. We connect your ClickUp workspace, build your first client portal live, and you leave the call with the link. It costs nothing, and your first month of Glance is free.
Your portals stay active until the end of the billing period. After that they go inactive, and the data waits where it is if you come back.
Build the first portal before the next status email.
Connect ClickUp, pick the colors, share the link. The client is reading their project a minute later.
We install Glance with you on a call. The setup is free and so is the first month.
